Al Hoceima

Founded by the Spanish as Villa Sanjurjo, Al Hoceima was built as a post after the Rif War in the early 20th century. It is a pleasant, kind of subtle city, with an array of beaches. Encompassed by hills full of olive groves, and in the shadow of the beautiful Rif Mountains, the city is home to the Riffian people, a Berber ethnic group with a list of tribes.
